Results: "Spring Warm-up" Open Skeet Competition

The Club hosted a two day, 4 gun Open Skeet Competition "Spring Warm-up" March 7-8, 2015.  We had 19 entries in the 12 Gauge and 18 entries in the 28 Gauge events on Saturday.  On Sunday we lost a few competitors due to the pouring rain, but most of the serious competitors showed and did their best in trying conditions.  We had 16 people shooting the 20 Gauge event and 13 people stayed for the 410 Bore event.  Michael Dennis emerged as the 4 gun High Over All Champion busting 380 of 400 targets under tough conditions.  Gary Edwards and Michael's father Mike Dennis, were second and third just one bird away, posting 379 of 400 targets.  Hannah Sauceda was our Sub Junior Champion and made notable showings in Class and Lady competitions throughout the shoot.  See winners reports for details:

This was the first two day open skeet competition that we have held in over ten years.  Many thanks to all of the club members who showed up to help Chief Referee Bill McCrary, those that loaded the birds between rounds and cleaned up the field and club house after the competition and those worked hard to keep things moving.  I think we lived up to our motto of "Good Friends, Good Food and Affordable Shooting."

On Saturday, April 25th, we will be holding a 28 & 12 gauge competition shooting 100 targets in each event. See flyer for details: 2015 April 28 & 12 Gauge Club Shoot.pdf
